Engaging Students Throughout the Reading Process
During the Reading in the Content Areas course, we studied various ways to engross students in the act of reading to increase comprehension. We studied the work of Pressley and Gaskins in Metacognitive Learning and that led me to the practices below. Each of these instructional practices support recommendations made through coursework and readings.
